Hassan Soukar is the founder of autoscommunity.com, one of the top 200 auto blogs in the world. He is also a bilingual blogger and social media influencer. Hassan and I have been talking for the past few days after connecting on Instagram, and I thought it would be a great feature to shed some light on his work and learn more about how he built an online presence.
Can You Tell Me About Yourself and Your Path to Becoming Creative?
Creativity has always been a big part of my life. I have been writing essays, poetry, and short stories for as long as I can remember. It became a fantastic outlet for me, growing up and going through different things. Writing has always been my escape and a happy place.
What Made You Want to Focus Your Work on Cars?
I LOVE cars. I’ve always been in and around the auto industry in different capacities, but blogging was more of a personal outlet, starting with autoscommunity.com. My audience has been continually growing, and I’m beyond happy to share my love and passion for cars with thousands of people worldwide.
How Did You Get That Blog off the Ground?
Initially, I posted on the blog’s Instagram more often than on the website, and the audience grew. People from Instagram who loved the cars I posted started going to the website, reading the car reviews and enjoying all the content shared on IG and the website. So, it’s entirely driven by social media.
What Would You Say Your Mission Statement for the Blog Is?
I guess it’s sharing the best car content in the easiest way possible. I love helping people find their next favourite car, and I think reading the reviews on the website makes it super easy. I feel a real connection with the people who follow and read my posts, those who are excited about the same things I am.
You Have a Big Following on Instagram. How Did You Build It Up?
Posting quality content consistently is the key, and never compromising. I love every car I post, and I feel like my readers trust my choices and always return to check on the blog because they expect to find something incredible there, too.
What Advice Would You Give to Someone Looking To Enter the Automotive Field?
Have patience and always be open to learning new things.
What Is Your Definition of the Term Creative?
Creativity is expressing yourself freely, being authentic, and communicating through any medium. It also means having and acting on ideas – experimenting, exploring, questioning, and turning those imaginative ideas into reality.
